Changes to Incoming Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) Instructions

As a result of the recent merger between Bank of America and LaSalle Bank Midwest, N.A., there are some important mandatory changes that affect the banking information that should be used for remitting electronic payments to the University of Michigan.

The ABA (routing/transit) number for Bank of America should be used when remitting wire transfer payments to the University of Michigan from bank accounts held within the United States, and the SWIFT Bank Identifier Code for Bank of America (BOFAUS3N) should be used when remitting wire transfer payments to the University of Michigan from bank accounts held outside the United States

Summary of updated account information

Bank Name: Bank of America

ABA/Routing Number: 026-009-593 (wire transfer only)

ABA/Routing Number: 071-000-039 (ACH transfer only)

SWIFT Bank Identifier Code: BOFAUS3N

If you are unsure of which Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) method you use for payments to the University of Michigan, please check with your financial institution prior to initiating a transaction to ensure that the applicable account instructions are used.
