• SPA Team Recommendations

  • In August 2005 the SPA Team recommended to its steering committee that they consider human research subject incentives an issue of importance for the University to examine.

• October 2007 – Charge to group from Marvin Parnes and Peggy Norgren.

• December 2007 – 3-day LEAN workshop to map current process(es), map “idea” process and goals, and develop an implementation plan. Twenty representatives from 13 research units and central administration attended.

• May 2008 – Special “Day 4” workshop; Peggy Norgren assigned project manager (James Gorman).

• October 2008 – HSIP team presented process concept to Leadership team, received approval to proceed.

• March 2009 – Hire Program Manager (Kathy Crawford)

• May 2009 – Pilot Implementation began.

• Summer 2009 - Pilot of HSIP system.

• October 2009 - Estimated start of HSIP rollout.
