The Office of the Treasurer is responsible for
the management and coordination of the University of Michigan’s
Banking Relationships, Treasury Services, Debt Issuance and Compliance,
Insurance and Disability Management programs. These responsibilities
include all banking services, credit card services, Mcard services,
ATM management, e-business settlements, capital planning, debt financing,
insurance programs, and the Work-Connections Integrated Disability
Management Program. Central management of these services allows consistency
in service applications, disaster recovery and opportunities for
better controls. The leveraging of volume also allows for lower banking
costs.
Currently we are restructuring many of our banking services and I would

below. Security of credit card information is also of great concern,
and I would also encourage you to read the “Protecting the Security

It is our goal to provide to the University Community high quality,
cost efficient business solutions to their business needs. I am very
